Simpson passes his motorcycle test
2008 MX2 British Motocross Champion and World number four Shaun Simpson showed that his success is not just limited to the track, with the twenty year old from Fife in Scotland having passed his motorcycle test earlier today.
It was a double celebration for the Simpson family, with Shaun’s younger brother and mechanic, Stefan also taking and passing his motorcycle test at the same time.
With the motocross season having already come to a close, the Simpson duo has used the last few weeks to embark on an intensive training course in order to complete and pass the various parts of the new style motorcycle road test.

Simpson finishes second on his Weston debut
Shaun Simpson – KTM UK rounded off his 2008 season with an unexpected second place on his debut at the World famous Weston Beach Race. The three-hour sea front battle at Weston-Super-Mare was won by the sand man himself Stefan Everts, who will be Simpson’s mentor when he moves to the factory KTM team
next year.
Whilst having not confirmed his participation in this unique event until late this week, Shaun showed that he was a serious contender as early as the first lap. Despite being at a disadvantage against the bigger capacity bikes on the initial sprint down the long start straight, Simpson rounded the first corner in a top ten position.

Simpson to ride at Weston Beach Race
Shaun Simpson – KTM UK has today confirmed his participation in the World famous Weston Beach Race, that will take place this coming weekend. A late change in circumstances, has now allowed the newly crowned MX2 British Motocross Champion to take part in this unique race.
Twenty year old Simpson from Fife in Scotland will use the same KTM 250SX-F two-fifty four stroke machine that has powered him to his first national title and to an incredible fourth place in this year’s MX2 World rankings for Sunday's race.
